About Us

Pointe Grey Dance Centre is located in the heart of Kitsilano in Vancouver, Canada, near the University of British Columbia and Kitsilano Beach. Artistic Director Lynda Yee Shioya opened the studio in 1980.

We offer private and group instruction for children and adults in ballet, tap and ballroom dance, plus vocal choreography. The studio is also available for rent as a rehearsal space for dancers and singers.

Lynda's approach to teaching is highly personalized. Classes are kept small, to create a comfortable and supportive environment where students can work to achieve their personal best.

Every person's learning style is different, so instruction is adapted to each student's goals. Across all levels and types of dancing, we emphasize the enjoyment of dance.
